Public Participation Plan
The Tri-Lakes Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is committed to ensuring all individuals are provided with an opportunity to actively participate in the planning process. The MPO pursues input throughout the transportation planning process through the use of social media, traditional media (newspaper), email blasts, and presentations. The MPO is required by federal regulations to document the ways in which staff will seek out public input. Therefore, the Public Participation Plan (PPP) is a document for the MPO that highlights all activities, methods, and strategies staff will use to garner feedback from the public. Title VI - Non Discrimination
The Tri-Lakes Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from the transportation planning process and welcomes input from all interested parties, regardless of background, income level or cultural identity. The Tri-Lakes MPO does not tolerate discrimination in any of its programs, services, activities, or employment practices. Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other nondiscrimination statutes, regulations, and authorities. Therefore, the MPO does not exclude from participation in, deny benefits of, or subject to discrimination, anyone on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, income, or familial status. The Tri-Lakes MPO actively seeks input from the public to help guide decisions and establish a vision that encompasses all area people and communities in the area.
